HISTORY
The roots of the Winter Haven Nautical Club go back over 35 years, originally known as
the Winter Haven Boat Club, located on Lake Cannon, on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, Winter Haven, Florida.
On May 5, 1994, the Winter Haven Nautical Club, was incorporated, and in
November 1994 the WHNC broke ground on construction of their new permanent
clubhouse at their current location, 695 Avenue "K", S.W., on Lake May, also on the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. This was made possible largely as a result of the
generosity of Dick and Jackie Littrell.
WHO WE ARE
The Winter Haven Nautical Club is dedicated to provide a social environment for
individuals and families that enjoy boating activities, as well as promoting safety on the water.
The club offers a variety of social activities, numerous planned boat cruises, participates in various local community activities, such as the Chain of Lakes Christmas Boat Parade and Citrus Festival Parade, as well as other activities around Central Florida. The water levels in the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes are currently near record levels lows, and the canals are unforunately not navigable for most boats. If you want to spend a day on the water, come enjoy join us on one of the many planned cruises around the state.
