Ft Myers for Memorial Weekend – May 26th & 27th – Please contact Mike to let him know you are going to join us and contact the hotel resort for your room reservations if you are not staying on your boat: ‘Update on cruise to Legacy Harbor in Ft. Myers for Memorial Day week end. Six slip reservations are made, rates are $1.50/f with no minimum. Standard hotel rooms are $79.00/night, suites are $129.00/night. The phone number for the hotel, is 239-332-2048. At this time, the locks at Moore Haven and Ortona are "open on demand", the Franklin Lock, which is the last lock westbound is open on odd hours, 7-9-11,etc. This will be subject to change with the rising or lowering water level in Lake Okeechobee. Mike will let us know if there are any changes with the water level and lock operations. We will meet at iHop on US60 in Lake Wales with planned departure time of 8am. Pack a lunch in case we have to wait for the Franklin Lock to open.

Upcoming – July 4th picnic at Lake Hartridge – We have rented the pavilion and we will have our 10’X10’ tent for additional shade. The club will furnish the food. Bring your own beverages family and friends. We will use this event as an open house with the hopes of attracting new members. Several of us will have our boats available for rides, pulling tubes and other fun water sports. Please let us know at the June meeting or by e-mail if you plan to attend the picnic and how many people may be joining you so we will know how much food to prepare.
