Red Flannel 2010 - Hammock Beach Resort

We finally did the rescheduled "Red Flannel" Cruise.  The group departed Daytona Beach at halifax Harbor on Saturday for the 30 miles north vis the ICW to Palm Coast, Florida.  We have been watching the Yacht Harbor Marina being built for a couple years.  This was our first visit to Hammock Beach Resort.  All were  very please with what we found.  After we arrive, we were already checked in and our Resort Booklet and access cards were delivered.  The marina staff were great.  Transportation arrived transport us to the resort about 1.5 miles away.  Some of the group checked into their villa and we all explored the very large resort.  We ended up at one of the restaurants for lunch.  Great food and service all though a bit pricey compared to what we are used to.  But on par with the facilities.

Cindy myself, Sammy and Susan made out way to the indoor pool for a swim.  Cindy passed as her cold was taking it's toll.  The pool was great and just outside a door into a private courtyard were the jacuzzis.  Susan, Sammy and I enjoyed the spa for a bit.  Even though it was cold out, the water was nice and hot.

The crew of "Mental Floss" headed back to the marina.  The resort staff was kind enough to stop at the local Publix and we grabbed some dinner for later.  Susan came down a bit later and as we watched "The Mask' we had dinner.

Sunday morning "Mental Floss" and "Awe$um Duck" had breakfast aboard.  Susan, Dick and jackie showed up and about 10 Am we departed back to Daytona.  The trip back was quite a bit warmer than the trip on Saturday.  The return trip was uneventful and all made it home safe.
