March 1-2 – Orange Cup Regatta in Lakeland. WHNC and the Lakeland Sail and Power Squadron will have the concession stand again this year. Mike passed around a sign-up sheet for the different shifts and duties and he requested a volunteer from WHNC as a co-chairman of the event. Help is also needed on February 28 to put up the food in the concession trailer. If you are interested in working that weekend and did not sign up, contact Mike at 667-0921.
March 15 (New Date) – Italian Night, Rosemary Krencisz, chairman. Begins at 5PM, admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. We can look forward to a delicious Italian dinner, and after dinner, we will have a fashion show presented by Miss Jacqueline and her ‘models’.
Susan Hutchinson reminded everyone that we need to be planning for the Christmas Party, December 13th. If you have a suggestion for a location in mind for the party, do your research (pricing, availability, entertainment) and bring all your information to the March meeting so that the membership can make a decision.
CRUISES –JOHN VALICH, Cruise Master

MEMBERSHIP –AMBER HERL, Chairperson
We currently have 31 memberships.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE – DAVID SMITH, Chairperson
David reported that he has contacted the Fire Marshall regarding the fire suppressant system over the stove in the kitchen. Bottom line, the system must remain in place, even if we replace the current stove with a smaller (not commercial) one. Once we replace the stove, the nozzles in the system will need to be properly placed over the new stove. David will report at the next meeting on prices for a new stove. As the current stove should not be used, it will be disabled. REMINDER: DO NOT USE THE STOVE.
David has now replaced 5 of 24 ballasts in the fluorescent lights. The current ballasts are over 10 years old and many are leaking. All need to be replaced at a cost of $18 per ballast.
GROUNDS/HARBORMASTER – DAVID HUTCHINSON, Chairperson
$250 has been donated to purchase boards to replace those needed on the dock. Bob Krencisz has routed their name in one of the boards. For those who have made donations, he will put their names on the replacement boards.
