RIVERIA DUNES CRUISE – February 19 – Mike reported we departed Perkins at 8:30 with 4 boats and 12 people.   We met Killin Time and the Walkers at the ramp, leaving with 5 boats and 14 people after Bill Stevens was able to get Winn One going forward.  We met up with 4 more boats during the cruise for a total of 9 boats and 22 people.  (Unless you count like Mike 14 + 8 sometimes = 20).  We had a great lunch at Riveria Dunes and Kayla Dodd even got to ‘make’ her own pizza.  The trip over was somewhat choppy, not as bad as St Augustine, and we had 1 report of motion sickness.  The trip back we broke into two groups, 3 boats going back to the ramp and 5 going to Sunspree.  A good weekend and great to get back out into the boats.

Sarasota this weekend, March 12 & 13 - Dick Littrell reported the March cruise to Titusville, location and day, has to be changed as there are no slips available.  We are going to Sarasota this weekend, March 12 & 13. We will depart from Perkins restaurant in Bartow, Hwy 60, at 8:30 am.  Ramp departure will be from either Inn at Little Harbor, (formerly Bahai Beach) in Ruskin or Williams Park.  Destination is Sarasota Holiday Inn in Sarasota Bay with a stop at Sarasota Out board Club and Lunch at the Salty Dog.  For those wanting to take in a few sights, you can tour Pelican Man sanctuary Mote marine, or the SeaRay boat dealer.  Rooms at the Holiday Inn are about $148 with water view.  Please make your own hotel reservations, 941-355-2781.  If you are going on this cruise, please contact Dick Littrell, 295-9788 so he can fax in a list of boats needing slips.

Mike reported there are 3 – 3 day cruises needing cruise leaders so please let Mike know if you are interested, 667-0921.  The Memorial Day Cruise is supposed to be to Hutchinson Island if the docks are back in shape, Becky will keep us posted as to whether docks will be available.  If not, we will need to determine another location.  The July 4th weekend cruise is to Jekyll Island and this will also be the beginning of the summer cruise for some of the members.  If you would like to be cruise leader for this cruise or want to go on the summer cruise, please let Mike Hall – about cruise leader for the weekend or Jackie Littrell – to go on the summer cruise, know.
